Alternate Movie Poster, Book Cover or Music Album Art Project
The next artistic challenge, that I am posing for you as Artists, is to reimagine the artwork for the cover of a book, movie or music album that offers a new fresh look into that piece of writing, film or piece of music.
Farenheit 451 Alternate Covers
The slide show, below, has examples of multiple covers of the book Fahrenheit 451. I hope this gets you started thinking about how a few artists and designers reinterpreted the cover art for the same piece of literature. You are being challenged to create something like this using your choice of materials.

STAR WARS Alternate Posters
The slide show, below, has examples of multiple posters for the Star Wars Movie Series. I hope this also helps get you started thinking about how a few artists and designers reinterpreted the poster for the same films. EXAMPLE: Using the movie, "My Neighbor Totoro" for sketches
In the slide show below, I created an example of what I might do for my sketches if I was making and alternate movie poster or cover for the movie "My Neighbor Totoro." This demo is intended to model one type of sketch generating process by starting with an internet image search. After finding some images I gave examples of how I might use them in an alternate piece of Art. Your sketches should be quick, but also clear enough that someone could tell what you are thinking. The more sketches, the better!
